I have purchased several of these shades. Three for a previous house and 4 for a new place. These last ones came with the width too small. The gaps on the side are too big and I'm not sure why they changed their product. I can see on the spindle at the top, that the shad is cut too short. The mounting piece is fine, but the shade should be about 5/8 wider.The previous shades were perfect, so please go back to cutting the shades the full width of the mounting frame.We love the shades. We reordered a few times already!The grey fabric has a really slight silver sheen. Looks far more expensive than I expected for the cost. The custom size 80w x 95l arrived in 8 days. The only minor challenge was the screws supplied didn’t have large enough heads, they just passed right through hole in L shaped bracket. Tip-Easy fix took clips to hardware store and got right size and also needed washers to hold the two clip pieces together. NOT fun while cooking in summer! The house came with original 2012 vertical blinds that were noisy, got tangled by the pets, and were tricky to set in a way that allowed the sun to be filtered and the screen door open. Saw something similar to these in a sample book from a big box store. I bought two for the slider rather than one. This allows us to have one side all the way down and “solid” and the other part way down, while still having the door open. The breeze makes it clank against the door frame, BUT I’m happier with that than the verticals rattling and getting twisted. They were easy to install and look clean/classy. Will be ordering them for all the other windows as budget allows.
