This has become a very important staple of bedtime for both of my kids. My first had them and was just for fun but now that she is older she will not sleep if she doesn’t have them. Traveling we always pack it, take it to all over nighters, and when sleep training it was a life saver. Now that I recently had my second baby it’s in our room as well which provides enrichment as we wind down and helps with breastfeeding because there’s not too much light but enough to be able to maneuver around. Has I think 7 different color settings, up to a 90min timer or you can just turn it on and it’ll stay on all night. The first one we had lasted over a year and the cord snapped, the second one is about a year old, still in my daughters room but the rotating function has stopped. I bought the third one in anticipation for my newborn and unfortunately that one was defective, it burnt out after only 3months and just received the 4th, the replacement.This light has been knocked over, dropped, maybe even thrown, moved houses, and hasn’t stopped working yet. We use daily. Easy to use. Kids ask for it. Not over the top with sounds or speeds. Just puts some colored lights on the ceiling and walls and spins. Exactly what we need.We’ve had this about 4 months. It’s an easy to use device with a simple out of the box plug and play. It worked great for 4 months and then suddenly the rotation stopped working. My daughter has limited interest since then as I think the ‘moving stars’ is what she liked best.I was surprised, really. My kid is rough with things (he's 3) and so of course he beat the living crap out of this thing, but the stars keep on shinin'. It's pretty cool, actually, it's not too bright or too dim, it's not loud and there's enough color variety to keep things interesting. I just keep it plugged into the wall and have it ready to go whenever he's being fussy at bed time. I would say I'm a very satisfied customer.Our grandkids love this. Only reason I’m giving it 4 stars is because it doesn’t come with some sort of a cable.So I have mixed feelings about this.We first bought one, and it was awesome. My son immediately fell in love with it. The stars are abundant, and the light is bright enough to see precise starts on the roof but not so bright that it won't allow the child to sleep.Nevertheless, about two weeks after we started using it, the machine began to make a squeaking sound when the rotation was turned on. I mean, my kid didn't mind at all, but I wanted to replace it. So I order a new one. My surprise was that when the new one came, it was not really the same awesome machine. There were only a few starts and mostly dots projected. The stars were blurry, like out of focus. It was nothing like the first one.We decided to keep the first machine and simply use it without rotation. My son is pleased and thrilled with this machine..... But if you get a machine that has few or blurry stars and bad light ....just ask for a replacement because it seems that there is a batch of machines that are not the same quality.My son adored this light until it took a crap on him and now it doesn’t charge nor work not worth it he had it for 8 months and it doesn’t work nowOverall very happy with the purchase. I do wish there was a way to control the brightness. If we don’t use the red stars, it is often too bright for my daughter to sleep.
