The only thing about the light is that the clock doesnt dim. It is always the same brightness - day or night. And at night it seems extra bright. I have solved this by simply unplugging the light every night (since it sits on my bedside table) but I can see why this might be irritating if you are someone who gets up at night or fumbles around in the dark.I ordered this lamp for my daughter for her college dorm. We didn’t open it until she got to college and the lamp (just the lights) didn’t work. I was very upset because it was past the return date that I could get a refund. She loved that lamp and even though the lights didn’t work she still used it to hold her pens and for the clock. I contacted the seller about the lamp even though I was way pass my return date and they immediately did everything they could to firgure out the problem. They responded immediately to me to come up with a solution. It’s a terrific lamp and my daughter doesn’t want any other kind just this one. Definitely would buy again.This is a great light! 3 dim setting with colored lights on both sides. Bought for kids room and the colored lights are used as a night light.I get compliments all the time and it does the job of what it dose.Perfect for dorming! The clock works well, and the side lights operate separately so you can choose to turn them on (or not). I give this 4.5 stars, because the USB port is located in the back of the lamp, which is awkward, and the controls for the clock are on the bottom of the lamp. Again, awkward. I could overlook the clock setting controls but the USB being in the back means I never use it, which is a shame.The days on it keep skipping, today is Tuesday and it's saying Thursday can't get it to set properly ? ? ?1, The clock is too bright and DOES NOT TURN OFF. The light of the clock is way too bright and lights up the whole room at night. The clock is not even that good. The numbers are difficult to read and you have to look at it directly and closely, if you look at it at an angle you cannot see it. The major problem I have with the clock is that there is no option for you to turn it off unless you take out the battery.2, The light itself is not bright enough. The light is not bright enough and you cannot use it to read a book or do your homework under it. If you do, it is harmful to your eyes. The color of the light is too cold and the light is so dim a flashlight can do a better job.Returned this garbage after testing it for 10 mins.It's a great desk top light!!! Bright, and has a night light for kids as well. Storage for pens and pencils is great as well not to small not to big.Clock starts delaying after few days, Now it's late for over an hour in 2 months onlyI’d buy 100 more and sell them if I could!
